Slaughterhouse Five - Kurt Vonnegut (1969) Taking large inspiration from Vonnegut's own experience as a POW in Nazi Germany, this anti-war novel follows Billy Pilgram as he becomes 'unstuck in time' following an alien abduction. We follow Billy through disjointed moments in his life, revisiting his time spent on his wedding night, in a far away Tralfamadorian managerie with an assigned mate, and a basement slaughterhouse in Dresden, Germany where Billy, just like Kurt, survives America's firebomb attack. This book can be interpreted in many different ways but for me I have always felt that Billy's disloging from time and the way his story is told in tumbling pieces is a poingant metaphor for how combat PTSD can leave a person feeling fragmented, stuck here and there and nowhere all at once.

Stone Butch Blues - Leslie Feinberg (1993) Another novel that is heavily, heavily inspired by and rooted in the real life traumas and identity of the author. Feinberg's story follows butch lesbian Jess Goldberg as they find community in gay bars, survive severe repeated brutality from men, discover the magic of loving a femme, access security and a certain level of safety after testosterone therapy and top surgery, as well as navigating the percieved loss of their stone butch lesbian identity. As a trans masc butch who was lead to believe for a long time that my desire to live as a gender freak who doesnt fit neatly in either box was incompatible with my desire to claim an identity that I felt truly encapsulated my attraction experience. This book opened my eyes and showed me that I am far from the first gender freak lesbian and even further from being the last. It is also noteworthy that this novel was very eye opening for me regarding unions and workers rights in the latter half of the 20th century.

• Des' Digital Journal - Des' site has heavily inspired my site and approach to editing and coding. Their website has tons and tons of great resourses/tutorials regarding webdev, but mainly it is a really cute personal archival blog! Many of the individual pages have completely different designs, which I really love.
• Caesthoffe's Shrines - I love the design of this shrine collection, the graveyard layout is so cool to me! The Saw shrine reminds me so much of the ye old days of collecting glitter gifs for my MySpace page. The Heaven's Gate sneaker shrine is also super interesting, PLEASE GO READ IT !!!
